Dr. Gradman graduated from Harvard Medical School with honors. He moved to California and completed his postgraduate studies at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he practiced vascular surgery for over forty years.

He won the Teacher of the Year award in 1998 and retired in 2018 to enjoy his many hobbies, which include reading, traveling, participating in medical missions to Mexico and Peru, and playing classical piano music.

He has been married to his wife Susan for over fifty years, and he is blessed with two sons and three grandchildren.
